Privacy Policy
tl;dr: sleepytime collects minimal product usage and diagnostic data associated with pseudonymous installation or device identifiers. We do not use advertising identifiers, sell this data, or use it for personalized advertising. Cloudflare, Google Firebase, Google Analytics, Sentry, and SendGrid process the data on our behalf. You can request deletion at any time by emailing data@sleepytime.cc.
1. Information Collection:
sleepytime does not collect personally identifiable information such as, but not limited to, your name, contact number, location address, email address or payment information, unless you explicitly provide it.
However, we do collect product usage and diagnostic data. This may include features used, app or website interactions, app version, device and operating-system details, language or locale, campaign context, and problems or errors encountered. The mobile app creates a random installation identifier so analytics and error reports from the same installation can be correlated. This identifier is pseudonymous and is not your advertising identifier. By using the sleepytime website or mobile app, you consent to the collection of this data.
When an error occurs on the website, Sentry may upload and retain a diagnostic session replay associated with the error. We do not sample ordinary sessions for replay. An error-triggered replay may include activity shortly before the error and continue for the remainder of the active browser session. It can include the page URL (including query or fragment values), clicks, navigation, and rendered page content. Form inputs are masked, media is blocked, network request bodies are not captured, and shared-mix titles are masked in the rendered page. We use replays only for error diagnosis, not advertising or behavior profiling, and do not intentionally collect contact details through them.
When you submit website feedback, we collect the email address and message you provide, plus the page path, website version, and locale. Cloudflare stores the submission before any notification or diagnostic delivery is attempted. We use the requesting network address only for short-lived rate limiting and do not store it in the feedback record. If Cloudflare Turnstile is available, it may process browser and device signals to distinguish automated submissions. If Sentry is available in your browser, the feedback may also include diagnostic context such as the release, browser and device details, recent breadcrumbs, trace context, and a replay of activity leading up to the submission. Feedback fields remain masked in Replay, media is blocked, and network request bodies are not captured. Feedback still reaches us when Turnstile, Sentry, or this optional diagnostic context is unavailable.
2. Use of Information:
We use product usage and diagnostic data to analyze usage trends, evaluate product changes and experiments, identify and fix technical issues, improve interfaces, and refine the overall experience.
Google provides Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, Remote Config, and A/B Testing. Cloudflare provides website and API delivery, feedback storage, queues, rate limiting, bot verification, and feedback notification delivery. Sentry provides error monitoring, diagnostic session replay, and feedback tools. SendGrid delivers other service email. These companies process data as service providers on our behalf under their applicable terms. We do not sell product usage data or use it for personalized advertising. Aggregated, de-identified reports are not used to identify individual users.
3. Security:
While no digital platform can guarantee 100% secure data protection, atsleepytime we strive to protect your information to the best of our ability. We implement various security measures at different levels to ensure data safety. The collected information is stored securely and is accessible only to authorized personnel.
4. Data Retention and Deletion:
We retain pseudonymous product usage data only for as long as it is needed to provide and improve the sleepytime app. Aggregated, de-identified analytics data is retained for up to 24 months, after which it is either deleted or further de-identified. Crash and error reports, including associated error-triggered replays, are retained for up to 90 days. Website feedback submissions are retained in our primary feedback store for up to 180 days. Copies that become part of support correspondence, and other information you explicitly provide, are kept only as long as needed to respond to your request and comply with our legal obligations, and are then deleted.
You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing data@sleepytime.cc or by visiting our data deletion page. We will process verified deletion requests within 30 days. Because pseudonymous telemetry is not linked to your contact details, include an installation or device identifier if one is available. Deletion requests apply to information you have shared with us, such as support correspondence, and to identifiers we can match to your request.
You can also stop further data collection at any time by uninstalling the app.
5. Policy Changes:
Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. Any changes will be updated in this document, and we advise users to periodically review our Privacy Policy for any updates.
6. Contact Us:
If you have any questions about our privacy policy, please contact us at legal@sleepytime.cc.
